The best IRC client for windows is mIRC. mIRC is quite a neat little program which has its own programing language built in to let you customize it and create your own commands. When you program in mIRC your programs are called Scripts. There are millions of websites dedicated to distributing these scripts, and there are many different types. My script is available to download: WangScript.

This is a mIRC script designed with a clean easy-to-use interface, featured with a mp3 player, support for mts themes 1.3, the command for the X bot from the Undernet and other utilities.Compatible with mirc 6.16+ *only*

WangScript contains a good port scanner. A port scanner will basically scan a hostname or IP address on the port range you specify. It will then return only the ports that are open for connections.

Cycle In/out allows you to part and join a channel quickly - good for regaining Ops.
